Finmeccanica works constantly to reduce its impact on the environment, and has many active initiatives that promote sustainability. In the U.S., a number of Finmeccanica sites have been given ISO14001 accreditation in recognition of their effective environmental management and others are working toward that standard. Our operating companies also embrace sustainability through a wide range of activities.

Additionally, in 2010, Finmeccanica’s stock was selected for addition to the Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes (DJSI) World and Europe, which assess the performances of leading companies in terms of economic, environmental and social sustainability.

Finmeccanica was one of only four companies selected by the DJSI World for the Aerospace and Defense sector, out of a total of 30 companies submitted for evaluation. Finmeccanica was the only new admission in the sector.
