Model 3300 Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) / Multilateration (MLAT) Ground Station
The SELEX Systems Integration Inc Model 3300 is a high performance Automatic Dependent Surveillance- Broadcast (ADS-B) ground station for en-route, terminal and airport surveillance applications that has been designed to support both domestic and international installations. Due to its modular design, the radio set can be configured to support both the 1090 MHz Extended Squitter (ES) and 978 MHz Universal Access Transceiver (UAT) data-links for the domestic market (6U form factor) and then be scaled to support the 1090ES domain for international markets (3U form factor). This allows the unit to obtain identification, position, altitude, velocity, and other airborne derived data using either data link. The Model 3300 is compliant with international minimum operating performance standards and capable of supporting both ADS-B as well as Wide-Area Multilateration (WAM) installations with a straightforward configuration file change. When configured for the WAM application, the Model 3300 provides high performance and accurate all-weather surveillance for airport and wide area applications. It combines outstanding advanced sensors design and innovative target processing in a flexible and redundant architecture to identify co-operative detection of targets on the airport surface or on Terminal Maneuvering Area (TMA)/en-route airspace.
The SELEX Model 3300 is a small form factor system that is highly capable and feature-rich at an affordable price. The Model 3300 can be integrated with other systems for cooperative ATC surveillance, expanded or tailored to meet specific customer needs, and support the addition of future capabilities and geographical system expansion after the original system install.
SELEX Systems Integration Inc was recently awarded a contract from ITT Corporation as the second source radio supplier for the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Automatic Dependent Surveillance-Broadcast (ADS-B) program. Under the contract, SELEX will produce and deliver more than 400 radios for use in the National Airspace System (NAS).
